In a ceremony in Auckland last night filmmaker Leanne Pooley was made an Arts Laureate along with 4 other New Zealand artists. GLAAD Award Nomination for Topp Twins Doco!
“Topp Twins-Untouchable Girls” has been nominated for a GLAAD Award. The Glaads are often referred to as the Gay Oscars! GLAAD stands for Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation. Their mission is to promote and ensure fair, accurate and inclusive representation of people and events in the media as a means of eliminating homophobia and discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation. The GLAAD Media Awards are in their 21st year.
